Skybox Security Unveils Major Upgrades in 13.0 Release for Enhanced Cyber Exposure Management

Skybox Security has unveiled the latest iteration of its Continuous Exposure Management Platform, version 13.0, with substantial upgrades to its Attack Surface and Vulnerability Management solutions. This release aims to transform how businesses approach and mitigate cyber exposure risk. Skybox's platform now provides comprehensive support for enterprises throughout their continuous exposure management (CEM) programs. From mapping their attack surface to contextualizing and prioritizing risks based on context, and finally, executing remediation actions. These enhancements are designed to empower organizations to bolster their security posture and significantly reduce the risk of successful cyberattacks.

The Attack Surface Management solution offers a comprehensive inventory and map of assets, applications, and users, analyzing attack paths and simulating attacks to create a dynamic security model of the hybrid attack surface. Key features in version 13.0 include an enhanced attack surface map, improved attack path analysis that considers threat origin, LDAP integration for modeling Group Policy Objects, and better integration of cloud infrastructure data, addressing challenges posed by hybrid and cloud infrastructures.

Skybox's Vulnerability Management solution aggregates data from over 25 third-party threat intelligence feeds and the in-house Skybox Threat Intelligence feed to prioritize threats and provide remediation guidance based on exposure-based risk. The latest version introduces the ability to import vulnerability data from various sources, a "Solutions View" tailored to specific business units or applications, identification of celebrity vulnerabilities outlined in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog, and seamless integration with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms through REST APIs. These updates enhance investigation and remediation activities for Security Operations Centers (SOCs).

Mordecai Rosen, CEO of Skybox Security, emphasized the importance of continuous exposure management in today's complex threat landscape. The platform's latest enhancements aim to offer organizations a more robust security posture and improved readiness to combat evolving cyber threats.

"In today's complex threat landscape, organizations need to continuously manage their threat exposure based on the prioritized risks to their business," said Mordecai Rosen, CEO of Skybox Security. "The Skybox platform now supports each stage of an enterprise’s continuous exposure management (CEM) program, from mapping the attack surface, through contextualization and risk-based prioritization, to final remediation. Our latest enhancements enable organizations to further improve their security posture and significantly reduce the risk of a successful attack.” ###
