Stream.Security Secures $30M Series B to Revolutionize Real-Time Cloud Security

Stream.Security, a fast-rising player in real-time cloud security, has raised $30 million in a Series B funding round led by U.S. Venture Partners, with additional backing from Citi Ventures and existing investors such as Energy Impact Partners (EIP), Cervin Ventures, TLV Partners, and Glilot Capital Partners VC. This latest infusion of capital brings the company’s total funding to $55 million and signals strong market validation for its pioneering Cloud Twin technology.

A New Era in Cloud Security

As organizations increasingly rely on cloud infrastructure, the limitations of traditional security tools have become more apparent. Stream.Security is betting that its real-time threat and exposure modeling solution will fill the gaps left by conventional methods. The company’s Cloud Twin platform, which offers SecOps teams an up-to-the-minute view of their cloud environments, aims to address a growing problem: the speed at which threat actors can move across a compromised system far outpaces most organizations' response times.

“The market for cloud security solutions is still in its infancy,” said Jacques Benkoski, General Partner at U.S. Venture Partners. “We’ve invested in many of the top security companies, and our diligence has clearly demonstrated the need for a real-time solution that moves beyond traditional ‘point in time’ tools. Stream.Security provides a fundamentally different approach that addresses security gaps costing enterprises millions.”

Stream.Security’s platform helps SecOps teams visualize the full storyline of an attack, detect attack paths, and minimize false positives—all in real time. By leveraging artificial intelligence and behavioral analytics, the platform promises to reduce mean time to response (MTTR) and improve the overall efficiency of security teams.

This capability is becoming increasingly important as threats evolve. According to recent research, 82% of enterprises take more than seven hours to respond to breaches, while it can take less than three minutes for attackers to make lateral movements within a compromised cloud system. Such delays create critical security gaps that Stream.Security’s real-time platform aims to close.

Cloud Twin: The Next Frontier for SecOps Teams

The Cloud Twin technology, a cornerstone of Stream.Security's platform, offers what the company describes as "real-time cloud-native threat exposure management." By correlating real-time behavioral anomalies with the current context of the cloud environment, SecOps teams can streamline investigations and reduce the time spent addressing false positives.

Petr Zuzanov, a SecOps Architect at RingCentral, explained the significance of Stream.Security’s platform: “We have struggled to gather enough context to triage quickly, and getting a real-time view of an attack is challenging. Stream has been instrumental in helping us close security gaps by providing a clear understanding of the attack path and the blast radius of every threat or exposure. This has significantly reduced our risk exposure and overall time and cost to remediate.”

The platform’s ability to quickly assess attack paths and potential impact has already attracted major enterprise clients. Niv Schlomo, Vice President of Cloud Operations at Kaltura, emphasized its value for overburdened security teams: “Stream Security offers a unique value proposition by correlating behavioral anomalies with real-time cloud context, accelerating our investigation process.”

Cloud Security Demands on the Rise

The urgency to enhance cloud security capabilities has become a focal point for organizations as they expand their digital infrastructures. According to Benkoski, 89% of organizations are either planning to implement or enhance their cloud detection and response solutions in the near future.

But many of today’s cloud security tools are designed with an "on-prem" mindset, where static, point-in-time assessments worked well. In the dynamic world of cloud computing, where assets are constantly changing, these older methods often leave exploitable gaps. “The demand signal for real-time cloud-native threat exposure management has never been stronger,” said Matt Carbonara, Managing Director at Citi Ventures. He believes Stream.Security is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation.

Fueling Expansion and Innovation

With fresh capital in hand, Stream.Security plans to accelerate the global rollout of its Cloud Twin technology. CEO Or Shoshani sees the funding as a crucial step toward bringing the company’s real-time platform to more enterprises, meeting the growing demand for cloud-native security solutions.

“SecOps teams need a cloud solution they can trust,” Shoshani said. “Without the ability to continuously assess and manage threat and exposure in real time, they are securing the cloud through the rear-view mirror. This funding validates our fundamentally superior approach to cloud security and will play an important role in bringing our Cloud Twin technology to enterprises worldwide.”

As the complexity of cloud environments grows, real-time visibility and the ability to respond swiftly are becoming essential for maintaining a secure infrastructure. With its innovative platform and growing investor confidence, Stream.Security is positioned to become a major player in the cloud security landscape, offering enterprises the tools they need to keep pace with today’s rapidly evolving threats.
